I like this shot. It was hard not to put myself in it, because the wheel was so round. I would love some feedback. In turn I would love to visit your site and give critique on your work as well.

I'm not sure I like this photo, it just looks so bland. But, putting the negativity to the side.. I quite like the reflection in the wheel, and like you said; the "roundness".

@Jenny: Is it bland because of the content in the picture? Or is it because it doesn't have a story attatched to it? If it's a diferent reason, let me know.
This doesn't really do it for me I think because the subject isn't interesting enough. Can't tell what I'm supposed to focus on. The kid might be interesting, but he's out of focus and cropped strangely, so he's out. The hubcap is kind of dull or noisy-looking with some indistinct figures, but doesn't really seem shiny enough to draw me in. Then there's some guy's left leg off to the side. One thing that just ocurred to me after typing all that is that it might look a lot better on your monitor than in does on mine. It's really noisy and the shadow areas have a distinct greenish colour-cast, which seems odd looking at your EXIF data. A quick trip into an image editor on my system to increase the contrast and correct the colour balance has already made, it in my eyes, a more interesting photo.
So anyway, that's my critique. Also (not essential to the photo, but since you titled it so) I can't tell that it's a fire truck. An unhelpful suggestion: a bit of the red from the fire truck might have echoed the red of the boy's shirt and given the image more impact.

Kody, I think it's the placement and colours, I think - like Damon - you could see more of the red in the truck (I think I see part of it in the wheel) it would do better. :D
Btw, your comment (on my aminus3) came up as spam for me. o_O Not sure if you wanted that to happen or not. ;P But just to tell you.

Nice out of focus kid, Kody.

I think that it is an interesting picture. The color of the jacket of the kid really stands out. And the fact that kids and firetrucks don't really go together but unfortunately find themselves in your photo. And judging from the reflection he looks like the only kid among the group.
Aspiring future firefighter? hehe

For me i think the photo would be more effective had the kid been in focus rather than the wheel. Given that you used a wide lens, the blur on the wheel wouldn't have been that out of focus and the photo would still hold its story. Well, that's just my opinion. Photography is mostly subjective anyway. So whatever works for you will work for you.
