The same fire, this particular silo burned for many hours. it was part of a huge couple thousand acre fire. I had been shooting another spot fire about 100 yds away when this silo exploded at the top, less than 20 feet away. i got a little burnt, and the firefighters that came told me that the dust heats in the top of the silo until it actuall combusts. Not fun, but a good image.

Hi Kody, It was nice reading your comments on my post today. Probably its the longest comment that I ever enjoyd reading. I have been posting here for around 2 years now and I can tell you that I hate the standard comments. Initially I liked them but not anymore. I like critiques. If you look at my pictures that I used to take 2 years back and compare them to today, you will notice a huge improvement, and I know that its all because of few handlful of peope like you who boldly critique my pictures.
With regards to getting low suggestion that you made, probably I will experiment more. Another friend of mine, Jason would always tell me to be slightly above children when you take pictures. So I will take both advices and keep on experimenting.
With regards to this picture, it strange that I saw this picture (almost a same one) in Nat Geo last night when they were covering a series on Wild fires around Sidney during the summer. Nothing to critique here as it not a setup that yo have control over the scene.
